Staying Safe
Crypto attracts scammers. WYDE’s mission is real, but impostors will try to ride on its name. These rules keep you safe.
The non-negotiables
Section titled “The non-negotiables”- Verify the contract address. Only buy $EAT using the contract address shown on wyde.org or eat.ong. Fake tokens use the same name and logo.
- Check the URL. Bookmark the official sites from Official Links and use the bookmarks. Do not trust links from DMs, comments, or ads.
- Ignore “giveaways” and “doublers.” WYDE will not ask you to send crypto to receive more back. That is always a scam.
- Distrust urgency. “Act now or miss out” is a pressure tactic. Slow down and verify.
- Confirm accounts. Only the accounts on Channels & Social are official. Impostor accounts copy the name and avatar.
Before any transaction, ask
Section titled “Before any transaction, ask”- Did I get this link from the official bookmarked source?
- Does the contract address match the official one exactly?
- Am I being rushed or offered something too good to be true?
If any answer worries you, stop.
If something feels wrong
Section titled “If something feels wrong”Disconnect your wallet, do not sign anything, and check the official channels. When in doubt, do nothing and ask in the official community.
