Tokenomics & Fees

$EAT’s economics are unusual by design: a fixed supply, a fee that funds meals on every trade, liquidity that can never be pulled, and a vesting schedule tied to real meals funded rather than calendar dates.

  • Total supply: 100,000,000,000 $EAT, fixed, on Base. Launched December 10, 2025.
  • 20% (20 billion) was deployed at launch as initial liquidity and operational liquidity support.
  • 80% (80 billion) is locked and vests only as meals-funded milestones are reached (see the ladder below).

Every trade pays a 1% fee, taken in ETH, that routes on-chain to a set of cause and treasury Safes. In plain terms: trading $EAT funds meals automatically, with no one’s hand on the switch.

  • Conversion used: a conservative $1 = 5 meals (below Feeding America’s published figure).
  • As of the May 2026 briefing, about $35,500 had accrued to the cause/treasury Safes, with nothing disbursed yet (the project is early and intact).

$EAT trades against a single-sided Uniswap V4 position originally seeded with 10 billion $EAT, and its LP token has been burned. That makes the liquidity permanent: it can never be withdrawn, by the team or anyone else. As people trade, ETH flows into the pool and is locked there too; the only way it comes out is by someone buying or selling.

Instead of unlocking on calendar dates, $EAT unlocks as cumulative meals-funded thresholds are reached through verified 501(c)(3) partners. Each milestone releases 16 billion $EAT:

Milestone Meals Tokens released Cumulative unlock
M1 100,000,000 16B 36%
M2 250,000,000 16B 52%
M3 500,000,000 16B 68%
M4 750,000,000 16B 84%
M5 1,000,000,000 16B 100%

(Cumulative begins at 20% because of the launch deployment.) Because the team, nonprofit partners, community rewards pools, and treasury all vest on the same variable, everyone is aligned on one outcome: fund more meals.

Published tracking dates (for platforms like CoinMarketCap that require calendar dates; these are conservative projections, not promises): M1 Dec 1 2027, M2 Aug 1 2028, M3 Jun 1 2030, M4 Jul 1 2032, M5 Dec 1 2033. Actual unlock happens the moment the meal threshold is hit, earlier or later than the published date.

$EAT launched with a deliberately thin float (80% locked), so price is unusually sensitive to volume in both directions. Per the May 2026 briefing, roughly every $50,000 in net buying moves market cap by about $10M, and an estimated $3.5M in cumulative net purchases would carry $EAT to a $1B fully diluted valuation at then-current ETH prices.
